# Replicate a competitor's ad

> Recreate a proven image-ad structure for your brand using your own product, claims, and assets.

When an image ad keeps running and scoring well, use it as a structural brief instead of starting from a blank page. Superscale analyzes the layout, message sequence, and visual pattern, then creates a new static ad using your product, message, and brand context.

In the research feed, direct replication is strongest for **image competitor ads**. For video ads, use the ad as a reference for a new [video brief](/features/video-ads) rather than expecting a one-click structural clone.

## How recreation works

<Steps>
  <Step title="Pick the ad" icon="binoculars">
    Choose a competitor or reference ad, usually a high-scoring example from [competitor research](/features/competitor-research).
  </Step>

  <Step title="The agent decomposes it" icon="activity">
    Superscale breaks the ad down visually and structurally: layout, hook, message flow, product placement, and call to action.
  </Step>

  <Step title="It adapts to your brand" icon="palette">
    The agent maps the structure onto your product and brand, then builds a ready-to-use static image.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## When to use it

Use ad recreation when the reference ad gives the agent a strong pattern: hierarchy, hook, proof, layout, and call to action. Superscale keeps the pattern while replacing competitor-specific assets, claims, and proof with your brand context. The output depends on your saved [context](/context/overview) and any exact source assets you attach.

<Tip>
  Recreate first, then [iterate](/features/iterate) on the hook, offer, proof point, or visual treatment to find your own winner.
</Tip>

<Note>
  Recreate the pattern, not the competitor's brand assets, claims, identity, or product proof. If your product needs exact packaging, UI, or logo fidelity, attach your own source assets.
