# Aspect ratios & export

> Export creatives for the placements and channels you need.

Different placements need different shapes. Superscale helps you turn a creative direction into the right versions for feeds, stories, reels, shorts, and other paid placements.

## Common formats

| Format               | Best for                                                                    |

| **9:16 vertical**    | Reels, TikTok, Shorts, Stories, most UGC-style video                        |
| **4:5 portrait**     | Meta and Instagram feed statics                                             |

| **1:1 square**       | Feed placements and broad compatibility                                     |
| **4:3 landscape**    | Broader landscape adaptation and legacy placements                          |
| **16:9 landscape**   | YouTube, some Google placements, presentations, and repurposing             |
| **1.91:1 landscape** | Link-style and wide feed placements on destinations that accept wide assets |

The exact formats available can vary by creative type and platform. The export view shows the available options for the asset you are working with.

## Resize versus recreate

Image resizing uses AI outpainting for supported target ratios such as 9:16, 4:5, 3:4, 1:1, 4:3, and 16:9. Video and Studio exports have their own controls and should be reviewed in the final placement.

A vertical video rarely becomes a strong feed static by cropping alone. Ask Superscale to recreate or adapt the creative for the placement when the layout, pacing, or safe zone needs to change.

## Export workflow

## Common export questions

    Use the batch or project export controls when they appear for the current creative type. If a creative type still exports one-by-one, keep outputs organized in a project and download the final selections first.
