Seedance 2 is the engine that turns a storyboard into a finished video ad. Give the agent a brief and it generates a complete multi-scene video, with native audio, instead of stitching separate clips together. In chat, Seedance output is currently 9:16 vertical. Horizontal, landscape, and 16:9 generation are not supported in the chat video flow yet.

What it produces

Multi-scene video

A full ad from one storyboard: scenes, motion, and audio in a single render.

Vertical social output

9:16 vertical video built for Reels, TikTok, Shorts, and Stories-style placements.

Native audio

Spoken audio is generated natively for English ads. Non-English voiced ads use post-mixed voiceover.

Flexible length

Short by default, with supported chat durations from 4 seconds up to 45 seconds where long-form is enabled.

Formats

One creator talks straight to camera: the classic speaking-character ad. English only, with native audio.
A person on screen while narration carries the message. Works in any language, with variations for e-commerce products, apps, and websites.
No faces. Product close-ups, hands, overhead shots, macro details, and physical product proof with a voiceover. Any language.
The camera acts as the viewer’s eyes. Strong for hands-in-frame product moments and TikTok-native inner-monologue ads.
Locked-frame transformation or contrast. Useful when the ad needs to dramatize a visible change, state shift, or problem-solution move.
A playful 3D character where one product, package, logo, or app icon comes to life. English only.
Premium product cinematography, slower camera moves, hero close-ups, and calm narration.
Physical product theatre on a clean backdrop: pours, splashes, ingredients, packaging, and hero product shots.
A polished lifestyle moment with a person on screen who does not speak directly to camera.
Snappy object movement around a physical product on a simple colored backdrop.
Top-down or close-up hands demonstrating a physical product step by step.
A deliberately exaggerated problem-solution parody. Best for brands with a playful or irreverent tone.
A beta picker format for 20-45 second narrative ads. The agent resolves the best underlying video style before generating.

Audio and storyboard rules

CaseHow the script is handled
English native audioSpoken lines belong inside the Seedance scene descriptions and are mirrored as the transcript.
Non-English voiceoverSpoken copy lives in the voiceover field and is mixed in after render. Scenes stay visual and ambient.
CaptionsCaptions are a post-processing layer, not text the video model should draw inside the scene.
End cardsEnd cards are generated or appended after the video, not storyboard scenes.
Seedance is strongest when exact product, app, logo, packaging, and end-card assets are attached as references. Do not ask it to recreate exact commercial details from memory.
